FAQ

  • Q What is your main strength at high power, and where does GaN/SiC fit into the range?

    A

Our range runs from 60W to 10KW, and the 120W to 10KW band is our core area of specialisation: it is where our engineering depth sits, and it is the band most relevant to robotics, e-mobility, energy storage and industrial equipment. Alongside conventional designs we offer GaN/SiC platforms at 120W with 92% efficiency, 240W at 95% and 330W at 95%, which deliver higher power density in a smaller case.

Standard series efficiency runs from 90% at 60W to 95% for the GaN/SiC and 400W-and-above platforms, and all models are fanless with free-air convection cooling, so there is no fan noise and no fan to wear out. Operating temperature range is minus 29 to plus 45.5 degrees Celsius, storage minus 40 to plus 75. If your application has a tight enclosure or a thermal constraint, send the dimensions and we will propose a platform.

  • Q Some of my markets overlap - can one test report be reused instead of retesting in every country?

    A

That is precisely what the IECEE CB scheme is for, and we hold CB test certificates for all three product lines: IEC 62368-1 fourth edition for adapters, IEC 60335-1 with IEC 60335-2-29 for battery chargers, and IEC 61347-1 with IEC 61347-2-13 for LED drivers. A CB report allows a national certification body in a participating country to issue its own approval largely on the basis of our existing test data, avoiding a full repeat of the test programme.

We can also pre-test to the relevant EMC standards in our own CNAS-standard laboratory before samples go to an external body, which reduces the risk of a failed first submission. Send us your market list and we will set out which reports can be reused where.

  • Q Do you offer multi-channel output models for charging several battery packs at the same time?

    A

Yes. We build a 160W dual-output platform and a 1000W four-channel platform, both with independent channels that do not interfere with each other. One pack reaching full charge, or one channel faulting, does not disturb the others. That matters in applications such as robot fleets, battery-pack production, service stations and multi-battery test benches, where packs must be charged in parallel rather than in sequence.

Each channel supports the same voltage and current bands as the equivalent single-output platform, and the units use fixed AC and DC cords. The 1000W four-channel model is certified to UL, cUL, CE, CB, UKCA, FCC, SAA/RCM, PSE, KC, CCC and RoHS. Tell us how many packs you need to charge simultaneously, and at what voltage and current.

  • Q If a new model needs certification for my market, how are the cost and the responsibility for it handled?

    A

This is handled case by case at quotation stage, because the scope depends on the model, the market, and whether an existing platform can be extended or a new one is required. Our sales team sets out the certification scope, who commissions the testing, and how the cost is allocated, in writing before you place the order, so that there are no assumptions later.

What we can state as a factual capability is where the testing starts. Our self-built CNAS-standard EMC laboratory covers conducted and radiated immunity, harmonic current emission, electrostatic discharge, surge, electrical fast transient burst, and RoHS hazardous-substance testing. Pre-testing in-house before submission to an external laboratory shortens the certification cycle and reduces the risk of a failed first submission.

  • Q Do you have DC-DC models for charging from a vehicle supply rather than from mains power?

    A

Yes. We build a DC-DC range with 12-30VDC input in 80W at 92% efficiency, 120W at 93% and 200W at 94%, intended for charging from a vehicle electrical system rather than from mains power. All three share the same output voltage bands as our equivalent AC-input platforms, so the interface to your battery or device does not change when you move to a mobile supply.

Typical applications are on-board charging for vehicles and mobile equipment, service vehicles and mobile battery packs. The DC-DC series is certified to CE, RoHS and FCC rather than the fuller global certification set carried by several of our mains-input ranges, so if you are selling into North America or Europe this is worth checking against your market requirements. Send us your input source and battery specification.

  • Q Which management-system certifications does your factory hold, and can I receive copies?

    A

We hold ISO 9001 for quality, ISO 14001 for environment, QC 080000 for hazardous-substance process management, and BSCI for social-responsibility audit. Our ISO 9001:2015 certificate number is 01 100 1632392, verifiable at cnca.gov.cn, and copies of all four are available on request.

Beyond the certificates, these systems operate inside our own manufacturing base: two self-built plants in Dongguan and Hunan Yongzhou covering 108,000 m2, 450 employees, automated dust-free workshops, and our own CNAS-standard EMC laboratory with RoHS testing. Quality control and materials compliance are therefore handled in-house rather than outsourced. If your procurement process needs documented evidence for a supplier file, tell us the format you require.
