FAQ

  • Q How can I ensure my lithium battery charger is safe to use?

    A

To ensure the safety of your lithium battery charger, consider the following factors:

    • Brand Reputation: Choose chargers from reliable manufacturers known for quality and safety features (e.g., Fuyang Electronics, MeanWell).
    • Certifications: Look for chargers that have passed safety certifications like UL, CE, or RoHS, ensuring that they meet international safety standards.
    • Built-in Protection: Ensure the charger has overcharge protection, overvoltage protection, short-circuit protection, and thermal management to prevent damage to the battery.
    • Condition of the Charger: Always inspect the charger for visible damage (e.g., frayed cables, exposed wiring) before use.
  • Q Can I charge a lithium battery with a partially discharged charger?

A Yes, you can still charge a lithium battery with a partially discharged charger as long as the charger is capable of providing the required voltage and current for the battery. However, it may result in slower charging times. It’s best to fully charge the charger before using it to ensure optimal charging efficiency and prevent any potential issues caused by insufficient power delivery.
  • Q How can I prevent my lithium battery charger from overheating?

    A

To prevent overheating, ensure that your lithium battery charger is used in a well-ventilated area and is not obstructed by any objects that could trap heat. Avoid placing the charger on soft surfaces like beds or couches that can block airflow. Additionally:

    • Use chargers with thermal protection features that automatically shut off or reduce charging speed when the temperature exceeds safe limits.
    • Avoid using the charger in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, as this can increase the likelihood of overheating.
  • Q Can you supply an existing model with a different output voltage, current or connector than the catalogue version?

    A

In most cases, yes. Our platforms are published as voltage and current bands rather than single fixed points. The 120W series, for example, covers 8-14V through 61-87V, and the 200W series runs from 5-10V to 81-87V. That means many requests can be met by setting an existing certified platform to your required point instead of designing a new unit.

Connectors are equally flexible: we offer 15 AC plug types and 35 DC connector options, including aviation plugs, XT60/XT90, Anderson, cigarette-lighter, DIN, alligator clips and standard round DC. Please send your exact voltage, current and connector requirement. Our engineers confirm technical feasibility, and our sales team confirms commercial terms and lead time at quotation stage.

  • Q Which Incoterms do you quote, and can you ship DDP so that I know my landed cost up front?

    A

We support DDP and DDU as standard terms, which means the shipment arrives door-to-door with the customs formalities handled by us, so your landed cost is clear before the goods move. Other common terms such as FOB or CIF can also be discussed; because both the price and the responsibility split differ between them, we confirm the applicable term in the proforma invoice before you commit.

One point of disclosure, so that there are no surprises: we are a factory-direct B2B supplier based in China, without overseas warehouses or an overseas corporate entity. DDP and DDU are how we deliver effectively to your door. Our two production bases are in Dongguan and Hunan Yongzhou, totalling 108,000 m2.

  • Q What information do you need from me to recommend the right product and to give an accurate quotation?

    A

Three inputs are enough for us to start: the required output voltage and current, or the device or battery to be charged; the target sales market, so that we can match the certification; and your estimated quantity. If you can also share the end application, such as robotics, e-bikes, energy storage, medical equipment or LED lighting, our engineers can shortlist a platform more precisely.

We cover 60W to 10KW across three product lines, with more than 3,000 models developed, including GaN/SiC, IP67 waterproof, DC-DC and multi-channel versions, so a matching platform usually exists. Send the specification and we will come back with a proposed model, the certifications relevant to your market, and a volume-based quotation with its validity period stated.
